Eco Scene is a volunteer driven initiative whose objective is to offer a single source for information on environmentally friendly production techniques for Québec based practitioners of live performance.

Ecology and the Peforming Arts are natural partners. Both touch the general public in a special emotional way. The sense of leaving a healthy legacy motivates many ecological efforts.

It's about hope and a sense of community. The performing arts share those values.

But there is another, more pragmatic, reason for bringing ecology and the performing arts together. It just makes sense to stop wasting and, in the long run, it saves money and resources. Both of these are often in short supply in performing arts endeavors.
